Florida Straw Poll

At the August 4Th 2007 Florida Democratic Party central committee meeting, the committee will vote on whether to have a presidential preference straw poll at the the Bi-Annual conference in Orlando October 27Th 2007। Some are concerned that top tier Democratic Presidential hopefuls will not participate in the October conference if a straw poll is included. Many republican presidential hopefuls have already stated they would not participate in the Ames Iowa straw poll that has been held since 1973 such as McCain, and Romney. The question is should the Florida Democrats have a straw poll at the the 2007 conference?

I agree with 99% of what you do and say, if you are going to write, "Some are concerned that top tier Democratic Presidential hopefuls will not participate in the October conference if a straw poll is included", then you should have at least added "but that fear is the dumbest fear in existence. It's 99% certain that Democratic Presidential hopefuls are going to be told on August 25-26 that they shall not campaign in Florida because of Florida's violative January 29 primary and, if they dare campaign, they'll lose all Florida delegate votes -- so what in hang difference does it make to them whether Florida holds an October straw poll (which violates NO DNC rule). The only difference possibly is that, if they decide to come to Florida anyway (like probably Hillary), they may have to spend a few of the bucks they've raised in Florida, spending same on our delegates at the October meeting (rather than in a coffee shop in a small town in Iowa or New Hampshire). Bill Clinton spent bucks in Florida in 1991.
