An economic adviser to former Gov. Jeb Bush and a economic advisor to Sen. John McCain is warning about the "unintended consequences" of the Legislature's property tax plan. Writing for Florida TaxWatch, Tony Villamil said the proposals have brought uncertainty to the property tax structure and "violate a principle of best practices of public finance, which is simplicity and transparency in the levy of taxes."
