UPDATE 8:45 am

According to a inside source of ours:
The Jim Defede Show Has Been Canceled, he has been FIRED
we will follow up with the details soon......
Anyway, now his website is down and his name, as far as I can tell, has been scrubbed from the 940 WINZ website. The program guide lists his time spot only as "WINZ Mornings" and if you click it you get the Air America site. He's also not listed on the "on-air personalities"

Ron,
I don't know much, except that Jim had been in contract negotiations with Clear Channel that look to have broken down... It's not looking good.
You can write to the program director (kencharles@clearchannel.com) or the general manager (georgetoulas@clearchannel.com).

Nicole,
I noticed Jim was out this week, which would not be all that unusual, except for that he also is now where on the 940 website, under schedule it says, winz Mornings or who is on, it says Nicole Sandler. Plus JimDefede.com no longer works. While I do understand the nuance of confidentiality and public relations, can you fill us in a bit more?

I really miss listening to Jim. I discovered WINZ and start listing news on the radio because of him. I wish him the best of luck and I hope to listen or read his ideas and comments soon. Jim's replacement, Nicole, is really good as well, but you can not forget about old Defede.

Please keep us posted about his next adventure. Why he always gets in trouble with the boss??? either miami herald and now winz...
